What is the NUA O Scholarship 2024?
To help UG and PG students in the state financially, the Odisha government has introduced the NUA-O Scholarship Program. Public universities, government colleges, non-government-aided colleges, and Sanskrit colleges administered by the Higher Education Department all accept qualifying students.
The annual award under this scholarship is₹9,000 for male students,₹10,000 for female students,₹10,000 for male students from the families of construction workers (builders) and SC/ST, and₹11,000 for each female student in the same category. Candidates are welcome to apply for the scholarship with no maximum number of members, and qualified candidates can easily do so through the National Scholarship Portal, Odisha.

Students residing in the State of Odisha must meet the following eligibility standards in order to benefit from this NUA-O scholarship application for 2024.
Career Assessment Test
- Applicants should be Indian residents.
- Candidates must belong to one of the following categories:
- General
- Scheduled Caste (SC)
- Scheduled Tribe (ST)
- Other Backward Class (OBC)
- Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC)
- Economically Backward Classes (EBC)
- A national university, an authority- or non-government-aided college, an aided Sanskrit university, or an unaided non-public college should enroll students in a regular, full-time undergraduate or postgraduate course.
- The Higher Education Department's Student Academic Management System (SAMS) must have admitted the applicants.
Important Note: Due to the closure of the cutting-edge instructional consultation, we will make an exception to the admission process for the 2023-24 economic year. This exception applies to all colleges except unaided non-public faculties using the SAMS admissions gadget.
Ineligible Students:
- The central/state government, public sector undertakings (PSUs), government-aided institutions, or autonomous bodies employ students.
- The KALIA scholarship scheme awarded professional and technical guides.
- Students who have not obtained validation from their essential or academic group are at a disadvantage.
- Students enrolled in open universities, distance studying, or correspondence courses.
- Under the PPP mode, students are pursuing self-financed guides.
- The authorities exclude any extra categories.
- Students whose discernment(s) are contemporary income taxpayers.

- Permanent Residency: This refers to the confirmation of permanent residency within the State of Odisha.
- The residence details include the district, block, address, and college phone number.
- The contact information includes the Aadhaar range and the cellular touch number.
- The bank account information includes both the account-wide variety and the IFSC code.
Note: Students enrolled via CAF should make certain their financial institution information is correct on the SAMS portal. If details are incorrect or previous, use the self-statement form at the university scholarship portal to replace them.
- Eligibility Confirmation: Affirmation of meeting the eligibility standards and not falling beneath the car-exclusion situations.
- The Tax Declaration confirms that neither the individual is an income taxpayer nor is in a situation where they have a tax liability.
- Commitment to Studies: commitment to pursue ongoing studies with everyday class attendance.
- The Employment Declaration is a declaration that neither party is employed within the Central/State Government, PSUs, government-aided institutions, autonomous bodies, or receives grants from educational establishments.
Self-Declaration Forms:
- Students aged 18 and above have to post their self-announcement of the use of Form A.
- Students under 18 require an assertion from their figure(s)/dad or mom(s) using Form B.
Note: If any clause within the bureaucracy is not relevant to a pupil, they'll write in the assertion that the applicable clause isn't relevant to them.

Benefits of the NUA-O Scholarship (2024)
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced that under this scholarship, male students will receive Rs 9,000 per year, while female students will receive Rs 10,000 per year.
