The JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) Main examination is a national-level engineering exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). It is a computer-based test set to serve as a medium of admission to prestigious undergraduate courses at top engineering colleges including NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and others. Courses include B.E, B.Tech, B.Planning and B.Arch. The JEE Mains 2025 exam dates session 1 are set to be conducted on the dates, January 22, 23, 24, 28, 29 and 30 of this year. JEE Mains 2025 Selection Process

After the examinations are over, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will combine the JEE Main 2025 scores for Session 1 and Session 2 of every candidate in B.E./B. Tech. Upon merging the marks, the NTA will have the results at hand. Next, they will come up with an overall merit List or ranking system. 

Only the best of the total of two NTA Scores that each applicant is associated with after appearing in both sessions will be up for consideration for the JEE Advanced level. An All-India Rank will be arrived at and promptly declared after the successful completion of JEE Main examination Session 2.

JEE Main 2025 Eligibility Criteria 

Here are the points of eligibility a candidate must meet to appear for the JEE Mains 2025: 

  • Candidates who have appeared for their Class 12 board examinations in 2022/2023, or are presently appearing for them.
  • Applicants must have appeared for an intermediate/a 2-year Pre-University examination under a recognised Board/University to apply.
  • Candidates must be in their final year of the 10+2 exam.
  • To be eligible to apply, candidates must have completed a 2-year course under the Joint Service Wing of the National Defence Academy.
  • Candidates who are holding a 3-year diploma can apply.
  • Applicants who have successfully passed the 10+2 examination as conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) (at least five subjects) are eligible to appear for the JEE Mains.
  • NIOS students presently appearing for their 10+2 examinations can opt for their respective state to abide by eligibility requirements.

JEE Mains 2025 Admit Card Release 

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the JEE Mains 2025 admit card 3 days prior to the examination date. Candidates who will appear in the exam will be able to download the JEE Main admit card 2025 by visiting jeemain.nta.ac.in. 

Here are the steps to download your admit card upon its release:

Step 1: Visit the official website (jeemain.nta.nic.in).

Step 2: Click on the download link for your admit card.

Step 3: Candidates must log in using the appropriate JEE Main application number and their date of birth.

Step 4: Once the admit card is displayed on the screen, proceed to download it. 

Step 5: Have the admit card printed out.

Please note that the NTA has released the JEE Main City intimation slip for 2025 which all registered candidates can now view.

Follow these steps to download the JEE Mains city intimation slip from the official NTA website:

Step 1: Visit the NTA’s official website 'jeemain.nta.nic.in’ to start. 

Step 2: Log into your account by typing in the credentials from the candidate application form.

Step 3: Upon locating the tab ‘JEE Main Advance City Intimation’, click on it.

Step 4: The JEE Main City intimation slip will be displayed on the screen. Download it for reference.

Final Words

The much anticipated JEE Main 2025 exam dates have been officially published by the NTA. Session 1 is to be held from January 22 to 29, 2025, and Session 2 is tentatively scheduled from April 1 to 8, 2025. Aspirants can now streamline their preparation strategies appropriately.
