How to Apply for the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (IITM) Summer Internship 2025?
- Candidates can apply online through the internship portal IITM. The Academic Cell of IITM will process the requests for the necessary approval of the Director.
- The form to apply for the internship will be available on the IITM website under Academic Cell.
- Students are required to fill out the form and submit it along with their CV and a recommendation letter from the head of the department of the college or institution where they are studying.
- The filled form should be submitted to the Academic Cell as a hard copy or a soft copy. The academic cell will in turn prepare ID cards and will arrange for other necessary requirements for the interns.
- The institute may offer accommodation to over 30 students in the IITM-IMD Hostel in Pashan, Pune. Hence, interns should submit their request for accommodation to their mentors or professors via email.
Before applying for the internship, students must also try to communicate over an email with the probable mentors/scientists from IITM who are likely to guide them to consent to the internship. Once they obtain the consent of the mentor for the internship, they must upload the confirmation email along with the letter of recommendation from the HOD of the institute where they are studying.
