| Post-matric Scholarship for SC | Annual family income should not exceed INR 2.5 lakhs. The applicant should be a permanent resident of Odisha and should be pursuing a post matric course in any subject under Group I, II, III and IV in any Government or Private Government Institution. |
| Post-matric Scholarship for ST | The annual income of a family cannot exceed Rs 2.5 lakh. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Odisha and enrolled in any Group I, II, III, or IV post-matric course recognized by the Government or privately recognized by the Government |
| Post-matric Scholarship for OBC/SEBC | The annual income of a family cannot exceed one lakh rupees. Apart from being a permanent resident of Odisha and enrolled in a public or private institution, the applicant must have secured at least 50% possible marks in the previous examination. |

Candidates can submit the application for a PRERANA scholarship through the Odisha government's State Scholarship Portal. The step by step application process are listed below:

- For new users, click "Registration," and for current users, use "Login."
- Enter the Aadhaar number during registration. After registration, you will receive your login credentials User ID, and password on your registered mobile number and email.
- Login using your User ID and password. The application form will open.
