NSP Pre-Matric and Post-Matric Scholarships Selection Process 2024

For New Applicants:

  • Each year, only a limited number of scholarships are available.
  • Financial need, not academic performance, determines preference and an income certificate is required.
  • The older applicant receives preference if their incomes are equal.

For renewal applicants:

  • There’s no ranking system for scholarship renewals.
  • If you received at least 50% marks in your exams last year at the same school and course, and the relevant authorities approve your application, you will receive the scholarship.

Key Documents for NSP Scholarship 2024

How to Apply for NSP Scholarship 2024

Registration on NSP is essential to access various scholarships and assist students in applying for them. Students must confirm their current educational institution's registration on the portal before initiating the application process. With institution registration, students can proceed with scholarship applications. Institutions that still need to register can do so directly on the portal.

Here are the steps candidates must follow to apply for an NSP scholarship through the national scholarship portal:

Step 1: Institute Search

  1. Visit the official NSP website.
  2. Click on ‘Search for Institute’.
  3. Enter the required details to access the institution list.
  4. If the institution is not listed, students can register via the link.

Step 2: NSP Registration

  1. Visit the NSP homepage for new registration.
  2. Select ‘New Registration’.
  3. Review the registration guidelines thoroughly.
  4. Click ‘Continue’.
  5. Fill in all necessary details.
  6. Click ‘Register’.
  7. Receive a student application ID and password via a registered mobile number.

Step 3: Logging into NSP

  1. Click on the login tab.
  2. Enter the application ID and receive a password.

Step 4: Password Update (Compulsory)

  1. Upon successful login, receive an OTP on the registered mobile number.
  2. Verify the OTP.
  3. Change the password as prompted.

Step 5: Access Dashboard

  1. After the password update, access the applicant’s dashboard.
  2. Click ‘Application Form’ to start.
  3. Provide all the necessary registration, academic, and other details.
  4. Click ‘Save & Continue’.
  5. Add contact and scheme specifics and upload the necessary documents.
  6. Save it as a draft to review accuracy.
  7. Finalize by clicking ‘Final Submit’.

How to Update Registration and Bank Details in NSPQ Scholarship 2024?

Candidates must follow the steps below to update their registration and bank information on the National Scholarship Portal (www.Scholarships.Gov.In).

  1. Visit the authentic NSP internet site: www.Scholarships.Gov.in.
  2. Log in to the consumer dashboard.
  3. Go to the Applicant dashboard and select the 'Update your Account Details' option.
  4. Enter the suitable financial institution account range.
  5. Click on the ‘Update’ tab to proceed.
  6. Get an OTP at the registered cell number.
  7. Enter the OTP and click on the ‘Confirm OTP’ tab.
  8. After confirmation, you can enter the current account details in the NSP application form.

4. Know the AISHE Code: This feature allows students to verify the AISHE codes of registered schools, colleges, and institutions by providing the institution type, state, district (optional), and university type (optional).

6. List of applicants processed for scholarships: The system presents the chosen candidates for scholarships according to their academic year, application type, ministry, scheme, state, and district.

7. Search Nodal Officer Details: This feature provides details of nodal officers by ministry, state, or district.
