This scholarship aims to assist minority college students in their pre-matric education, providing up to INR 600 per month for students in lessons 1 through 10.

Rewards Amount MOMA Scholarships 

Students selected for these minority scholarships receive comprehensive financial support for their entire course, covering admission, course and tuition fees, and a maintenance allowance. • Eligible classes include graduation and postgraduation in technical and expert publications.
• The course fee is up to INR 20,000 per year, depending on the actual path charges, and this applies to both day students and hostellers.
• Maintenance Allowance: 
  • Each month, hostellers receive INR 1,000.
  • INR 500 corresponds to the daily rate for the month.

Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship for Minority Girls:

• Eligible Classes: Classes 9 to 12
• Scholarship Amount: 
  • Classes 9th and 10th will receive INR 5,000 each.
  • Classes 11 and 12 will cost INR 6,000 each.

Note: Students selected from 85 reputable premier establishments under the Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses are eligible for full path charge reimbursement.

Eligibility for MOMA Scholarships:

Students from minority groups studying in India at official or private institutions, particularly through the State Government or Union Territory Administration, are eligible to apply for these scholarship opportunities. Eligibility details are as follows:

Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities: 

• Educational Qualifications:
  • Students need to be in Classes 1–10.
  • You must have achieved a minimum of 50% in the previous exam.
  • Family Income: Annual family income should now not exceed INR 1 lakh.

Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities:

• Educational Qualifications:
  • Instructions 11th and 12th are open to students.

Application Process of MOMA Scholarships 2024

• Please provide the Aadhaar Enrolment ID (EID) slip or a copy of the Aadhaar enrollment request.
• Students 18 years or older must self-certify their community certificate; if not, their parent or guardian must certify it.
• A bank passbook with a photograph, a ration card, a PAN card, a passport, or a Certificate of Identity issued by a Headmaster or Principal with the school's official seal, a driver's license, or any other document specified by the State Government or UT Administration are acceptable forms of identification.

MOMA Scholarships: Selection Process

• Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities: Selection is based on the applicant’s economic condition. The older applicant receives preference if their financial conditions are similar.
• The Post-Matric Scholarship Scheme for Minorities selects candidates based on their financial situation, giving preference to older candidates with similar family income.
• Merit-cum-Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses (CS): Selection is based on merit, i.e., the percentage or marks of the last academic course or board exam (higher secondary/graduation). Priority is given to applicants from listed institutions in the merit list.

MOMA Scholarships—Renewal Policy

If candidates provide a certificate proving they secured at least 50% marks in the previous year's examination, they can renew their scholarships for the next academic year. Renewal is only applicable if the candidate continues the course at the same institution.

MOMA Scholarships: Terms & Conditions

• 30% of scholarships are reserved for girl students in each minority community within a state/UT. If there is a shortage of female candidates, scholarships can be transferred to male candidates of the same community.
• No more than two students from the same family can receive the minority scholarship.
• Students must attend classes regularly.
• Students who violate the institute/school discipline or any scholarship conditions may have their scholarships canceled or suspended.
• Providing false information to obtain a scholarship will result in the cancellation and recovery of the amount paid by the state/UT government.
• Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) transfers scholarship amounts directly to the candidate's bank account.
• Candidates cannot receive any other scholarship benefits if they are benefiting from the MOMA scholarship scheme.

MOMA Scholarships, Duration

• Selected students will receive a scholarship for the entire course duration.
• Annually, a fixed lump sum amount serves as the maintenance allowance.

MOMA Scholarships: Result 

The authority announces the results for these minority scholarships during November and December after verifying and scrutinizing applications.
