1. Internship Schemes
Eligibility Criteria:
The key eligibility criteria and duration of the VSSC Internship Scheme details are:
- To be eligible for the VSSC internship program, the applicants must be Indian citizens.
- They must be pursuing an undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), or doctoral program (PhD) in science, technology, or a related field from a recognized university/institute in India or abroad as regular on-campus students.
- Others who have already completed their degrees recently within six months of applying for the internship as regular on-campus students from a recognized institution in India or abroad can also apply.
- Applicants should have aggregate marks of 60% in their degree courses or a CGPA of 6.32 on a scale of 10.
- The duration of the internship is between 21 days to 45 days.
Courses Considered for Internship
Below are the courses that are considered for the VSSC internship. Students who are pursuing or have completed the below courses are eligible for the program:
- Bachelor of Engineering (BE)/ Bachelor of Technology (BTech)
- Bachelor of Science (Physics/Chemistry)
- Students pursuing Integrated Master of Technology (M Tech)/ Master of Engineering (ME)
- Master of Technology (M Tech)/ Master of Engineering (ME) students
- Students who are pursuing or have completed their Master of Science (MSc in Physics/ Chemistry/ Meteorology/ Space Science & Technology/ Space Physics/ Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Oceanography/Computer Science in Data Analytics or Data Science)
- Integrated Master of Science (M Sc) in Physics/Chemistry
- BS-MS (Physics/Chemistry)
- PhD programs (students who have completed their PhD coursework)
2. Student Project Trainee Schemes
Eligibility Criteria:
For Student Project Trainee Schemes, the following category of students will be considered in an offline mode.
The key eligibility criteria and duration of the VSSC Student Project Trainee Scheme details include:
- The applicants must be Indian citizens.
- Applicants should have aggregate marks of 60% in their degree courses or a CGPA of 6.32 on a scale of 10.
- B Tech Project trainee schemes will be carried out individually or as a 4-member group from the same branch, semester, and college.
- Engineering Students (BE/B Tech) who have completed their 6th semester can apply for the internship.
- BSc Physics/Chemistry students are eligible to apply for the trainee program after completing 4th semester.
- MSc students can apply for the program after completing their 1st Semester.
- Students of ME/M Tech who have completed their 1st semester are eligible to apply for the student project trainee program.
- Students who are pursuing a diploma in electronics/mechanical/computer science are also eligible after completing their 4th semester.
- Integrated M Sc/ Integrated ME/ Integrated MTech/ BS-MS students who have completed their 7th semester can apply for the program

- Students pursuing BE/B Tech
- Students in their B Sc courses in Physics/Chemistry
- Students who are studying diploma courses in Electronics/Mechanical/Computer Science
- ME/M Tech students
- Students studying Master in Science in Physics/Chemistry/ Meteorology/ Space Science & Technology/ Space Physics/ Ocean & Atmospheric Sciences/ Atmospheric Sciences/ Oceanography/Computer Science in Data Analytics or Data Science
- Students of Integrated MSc in Physics/Chemistry
- Students of Integrated ME/ MTech
- BS-MS (Physics/Chemistry) students
- PhD students who have completed their coursework
Minimum and Maximum Duration for the Project Work
- For BE/B Tech Students, the duration of the project work is between a minimum of 45 days and a maximum of 90 days
- For BSc Physics/Chemistry students, the duration of the project work is between a minimum of 45 days and a maximum of 60 day
- For Diploma students in Electronics/Mechanical/ Computer Science, the duration of the project work is between a minimum of 45 days and a maximum of 60 day
- Students of ME/MTech/MSc/Integrated MSc/Integrated ME/Integrated MTech/BS-MS, the duration of the project is a minimum of 120 days and a maximum of 180 days
- PhD students can avail of the project work for a minimum period of 30 days to a maximum period of 1 year at VSSC

How to Apply for the VSSC Project Work Program?
Applicants interested in interning at the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) can visit the official portal to apply online for the internship.
Below are the general steps to proceed with the application process:
- Visit the official VSSC website or go to https://vsscinternship.vssc.gov.in/HRDD_LOGIN/
- On the homepage, look for the Internship/Apprenticeship Training option and click on it
- Proceed ahead with the registration by filling out the required details in the application form
- Upload necessary documents, such as academic transcripts, a recommendation letter from the HoD or head of department of your college, and a valid ID card, among others.
